Ex-approved Sensors MK25 & MK08 for Filling Stations

Many facilities, particularly manufacturing environments where dust particles or explosive atmospheres may exist represent real challenges when it comes to electronic circuitry and switching contacts. Any type of arc can set off an explosion dramatically damaging the facility. Reed contacts represent a real switching solution with its hermetically contacts.

 

MK25 Reed Sensors - With its contactless switching and EX approval it's the safest way for switching in explosive environments. The simple mounting takes place with a standard drilling (see drilling template) into a steel plate up to 4mm. The button plates are available in the colors black, red, blue, yellow and green. There are sufficient combination possibilities for your application.

 

MK08 Reed Sensors - these proximity sensors are magnetically operated Reed Switches supplied with an oil-resistant cable. The sensor should be mounted on a fixed surface with the actuating magnet on the moving surface.

 

Both sensors will be used at filling stations in fuel dispensers – The MK25 is often mounted next to the control panel to choose between the different fuels and diesel or like in our sample, to choose a pay option (in the shop or directly with credit card).The MK08 is mounted inside the fuel hose as a utility meter which measures the flow of fuel .
