New Vertical, Right-Angle Light Pipe
CML Innovative Technologies is pleased to announce a new SMT Light Pipe is being added to its extensive line of light pipes. Unlike standard light pipes, these new SMT pipes are designed so that they can be added the board using automatic pick and place equipment, at the same time as all of the other SMT components.
This will eliminate the need of costly secondary operations to insert the pipes post reflow.
Parts are packaged on tape and reel per EIA-81-2 and come packaged 700 pieces per reel. Parts meet a UL94HB flammability rating and are able to withstand standard IR convection solder process temperatures up to 221°C. The 7520A10-TR uses standard 7016X and CMD67 series of SMD LEDs as its light sources. As with CML's other light pipes, this new SMT pipe also offer excellent EMI/RFI protection for PCB mounted components. The product family can also support design specific or custom configurations.
