Jopp Associates, established in 1990, is the brainchild of a mechanical engineer with over 50 years experience in engineering design and manufacturing of electromechanical devices. Jopp Associates was started when it was realized there was a need for hard to find replacement parts. Companies go out of business, parts become obsolete, required quantities do not warrant production. That's where Jopp Associates comes in. We have created and recreated parts for machinery and equipment, while long in the tooth , are still functional. In redesigning this equipment, Jopp Associates uses modern day techniques and materials to satisfy form, fit and function. As an example, Sigma Relay Corp. is no longer in business but the equipment these relays are in are still viable and functioning. Jopp Associates makes many relays that are drop-in equals to the Sigma. Jopp Associates also makes relay modules mounted on printed circuit boards with integral terminal blocks that eliminate the need for sockets This modular construction reduces the number of parts to be purchased, overall size and cost. These modules are light in weight, are less subject to shock and vibration failures and can be driven from 1 ma source.
We create individually designed parts for just about any relay control system including, but not limited to, elevators ( time delay relays for controlling length of time the doors stay open), machine tools, alarm and safety control systems. In general, these are not high production requirements an area of expertise in which Jopp Associates excels. The printed circuit modules we manufacture are smaller, faster, use less power for operation, have a broader range of operating voltages and are less expensive than their plug-in counterparts. We can customize designs to satisfy your needs. Time delay relays, DIN rail mount, snap track mount, multiple relays on a single board, I/O modules, reed relays, diode protection, latching relays, LED indicators, current sensors and controls, solid state relays, arc suppression, RF relay modules, sealed relays, transistor driven. Relays that can be driven directly from a PLC, connector plug-in for ease of wiring.
