IDEC announces the addition of oversize button heads to the L6 series of 16mm switches, in pushbuttons, pilot lights, selectors, key switches and a new pushbutton/selector. There are illuminated, non-illuminated, round, square, and mushroom lenses, and contact blocks with .110" quick connect or PCB termination.

These larger buttons provide higher visibility without requiring larger panel cutouts or new switches. Stiffer springs in the oversize buttons produce a heavier feel and tactile feedback, and make them easier to handle when wearing protective gloves.

Oversize L6 buttons have the same contacts, lamps and panel cutouts as standard L6 switches, so they can be placed in existing 16mm panels without the need for any rewiring. If heavy-duty 10A contacts are not necessary for an application, L6 oversize models are a cost-efficient alternative to 22mm pushbuttons.
