CHARLOTTE, NC-Rosenberg’s ECOFIT® brand motorized fans with backward impellers are designed to deliver low-noise and highly efficient heat discharge in today's uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units.
The fans, all with IP44 protection, are produced in a variety of sizes with maximum airflows of more than 880 CFM. Their compact wheel is an easy fit in free blowing designs (with screening) in circular, rectangular and scroll-shaped housings.
Ideal for systems operating in the RRE range, ECOFIT motorized backward fans have a rated life expectancy of L10 with a minimum 50,000 hours of operation. The fans handle air temperatures up to 158°F.
In UPS applications, ECOFIT offers two popular options. The first is a tachometer with hall effect sensor plugged into the motor's three-wire cable. The device monitors the rotation speed of the motor, switching it off-line when airflow falls below required levels. The ECOFIT backward impeller fans can also be fitted with a thermal protection feature. Wired on two leads, the feature sends a signal when the motor reaches its temperature limit.
In addition to the popular 225 mm (8.9 inch) and 250 mm (9.8 inch) wheel diameters, ECOFIT fans are available in 192 mm (7.6 inch) and 220 mm (8.7 inch) sizes. The fans are compact enough to be custom-fit into a broad variety of brackets from different manufacturers. Some designers incorporate the fans into their UPS design's inlet cone. Available accessories include inlet cones, inlet guards and UL listed capacitors.
