A line of compact surface mount reed relays that feature high switching speeds and low insertion loss for use in automatic test equipment, communications, and other high frequency applications has been introduced by Coto of Providence, RI USA.
Coto 9800 Series Surface Mount Reed Relays feature switching speeds < 0.5 ms and can pass RF signals up to 4 Ghz, with < 0.5 dB insertion loss and < 60 ps rise times. Providing switching voltages up to 100 vdc, switching current to 0.25 amps, and a contact rating of 3 watts, these tiny 1-Form-A-devices are capable of 100 million operations @ 1 volt and 1 mA.
Designed for high density packaging, Coto 9800 Series Surface Mount Reed Relays measure only 9.5 mm x 5.0 mm x 4.7 mm and are available in gull-wing, "J", and axial lead packages; supplied on tape and reel. They have a 5 vdc coil with 150 ohm resistance and minimum insulation resistance of 1 x 10(10) ohms at 100 vdc.
