The MS24 was a major breakthrough in the detection of movement and vibration. The sealed switch has gold plated contacts with a gold plated sphere to detect movement or vibration, eliminating the use of mercury. Mounted in any position, the sensor reacts when disturbed by giving a momentary change of contact state from normally open to closed or (vise versa). Designed with two pins the switch can be easily fitted onto a printed circuit board or directly soldered for wire termination. Now the range has been extended with 3 choices of an ABS housed unit. The MS24P/10 module offers the MS24 sensor, sealed to IP66, in an ABS housing with 100mm flying leads for easy termination. The MS24A/30 has additional internal circuitry which offers sensitivity adjustment via an internal potentiometer with screw adjustment. The output is referenced to 0V and can be used to drive a transistor or similar device. The MS24D/30 offers digital output with status indication. The unit requires a 10V supply and has two LED''s for output monitoring and setting up. There are two digital outputs which change state when movement or vibration will be logic low. When disturbed the output state will change.
