Carling Technologies, Inc. has released an updated version of their Thermal Circuit Protectors catalog, which includes new ratings, terminations, and bushing options.
This new catalog features new 50 and 60 amp offerings for the CLB-Series Thermal Circuit Protectors. In addition, this catalog includes several new bushing choices as well as three new screw termination options for bent screws or mixed tab and screw terminals.

These latest offerings are immediately available for sampling or production orders. Standard lead time is 4-6 weeks.
Thermal circuit protectors utilize a bimetallic strip electrically in series with the circuit. The heat generated by the current during an overload deforms the bimetallic strip and trips the breaker. Thermal protectors have a significant advantage over fuses in that they can be reset after tripping.
They can also be used as the main ON/OFF switch for the equipment being protected.
