You might ask, "Who would ever have a need for a 24Vdc, 100 AMP output, DIN rail mounted power supply?" With this user programmable high current output power supply, we have recently worked with two different customers who use not just one but two units in each machine. That is 4800 watts of 24Vdc power, modular, compact and DIN rail mounted. One application is in a complex machine that is used to assemble metal and plastic parts The other is for a machine that is used in the assembly of a high tech power device. These machines required over of 70 amps of power due to the many 24Vdc operated devices on the machine.
The high current output is only one part of the story with this innovative new power supply. This power supply has so many capabilities and features that it is ideal for any critical application in either the process industry or assembly and manufacturing.
All of this power and all of these features are in a power supply that is less than 10 inches wide and 6 inches high, smaller than a shoe box!!!
Front Panel Display and User Friendly Programming Buttons
Easy to follow instructions on the display and intuitive programming buttons make it simple for you to program the many available features of this power supply.
- Overboost, up to 150% or 3600 Watts for 5 seconds making it ideal in applications where you have a high inrush or is highly capacitive.
- Constant Current, ideal for powering loads that have a back up battery
- Battery Charger, perfect for charging lead-acid batteries from 50Ah to 1000Ah in normal or fast charge mode. When charging batteries the unit has an input to monitor the temperature of the battery so that you avoid damage.
You can remotely turn
on and off the output of the power supply without total shutdown or removing the main 3 phase power from the input. This allows you to turn off certain components in a machine or system remotely without removing power or adding other devices.
If you have some additional small devices that require a 12V power source you can get it through the connection points provided on this power supply.
- If you want to increase the power output or the available voltage you can wire the units in series or in parallel.
- In parallel mode there is a smart connection between the power supplies so that you can guarantee equal current sharing between units.
- The parallel wiring capability is ideal for those applications where you require redundant power.
Up to 408 events can be stored in the unit and then displayed or printed out to let you know when certain activities happened in your critical operation.
