New 0.6mm Narrow Pitch Surface Mount Connector
New Providence, NJ 7/99: Aromat introduces a new NAIS* Brand 0.6mm narrow pitch surface mount connector with a stacking height from 4.0mm to 6.0mm. Designated the P6 Series, this new connector is available in pin counts of 20-100 contacts.
The P6 features Aromat's unique bellows type contact, engineered from a thin, formed metal to provide excellent shock resistance and contact reliability, even when equipment is jarred or dropped. The bellows technology features a wide-area, rounded-corner design rather than the sharp edge in conventional tuning-fork contacts.
Other features of the P6 connector include suction area for automatic placement machines; tape and reel packaging standard; and terminal construction resistant to solder bridging.
Typical applications are laptop conputers, video equipment, and small portable equipment such as PDAs etc.
