The latest addition to APEM's range of tact switches is a model with horizontal actuation, called D162-01, specifically designed for pick and place assembly.

Unlike the other horizontally actuated tact switches, model D162-01 can be assembled automatically due to its flat metal top. Its main advantages are:

• reduced space requirement on PCB,
• possibility to be mounted on the edge of a board,
• excellent coplanarity.

This product is intended for all the applications where a circuit is activated by pushbuttons mounted on a front panel, notably telecommunications equipment.
